Purpose
The Senior Manager: Quality Assurance and Enhancement actively supports the DVC: Teaching and Learning in meeting the strategic objectives and goals of the University through quality assurance and programme enhancement.

The Senior Manager: Quality Assurance and Enhancement actively supports the DVC: Teaching and Learning in meeting the strategic objectives and goals of the University through quality assurance and programme enhancement.
Minimum Requirements
- Relevant Masters Degree for P7 and PhD/Doctoral Degree for p6.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in quality assurance/enhancement in a university environment or comparable institution.
- Provide support to DVC: Teaching and Learning in the formulation and monitoring of the institutional quality Assurance strategy.
- Develop policy direction for the quality assurance and enhancement portfolio.
- Provide a high-level operational plan of the quality assurance and enhancement portfolios in alignment with SPU strategic goals and the needs of other departments and divisions.
- Make inputs in ensuring that the University’s academic structure and the PQM document correlate, investigate any differences and making the necessary corrections.
- Support other structures and divisions in the design and implementation of systems to improve quality assurance and enhancement.
- Manage university programme accreditation
- Manage the university quality enhancement programme.
- Manage student and peer evaluation of teaching and learning.
- Assume accountability for the operational management of the portfolio.
- Devise accurately costed work and implementation plans.
- Provide regular management reports on operational and strategic matters to the DVC: Teaching and Learning.
- Service the Schools teaching and learning committees and research committees as required.
- Manage the development and maintenance of a website of the portfolio in alignment with institutional communication and marketing.
